BioBefore I tell you my name, let me tell you a very important fact about myself. A fact so important, that my name is a very large part of it.
I like Change.
I am constantly reinventing myself, visibly or non-visibly, for the worse or for the better, and every time I do, the true me pieces together a bit more. I change how I act (though I will always strive to be the sweetest girl you have ever met), I change how I dress (though I will always strive to have the certain flare that makes me individual), I change my outlook on life (though I will always strive to make decisions that will help me in the long-run). I have changed my name from Brittney Nicole to Kassandra - and consequently to Kassie - after many experiments (Nikki, Bree, Michelle) and found that it resonated the most with me. In Greek mythology, Cassandra (Greek: Κασσάνδρα "she who entangles men") was the daughter of King Priam and Queen Hecuba of Troy. Her beauty caused Apollo to grant her the gift of prophecy. However, when she did not return his love, Apollo placed a curse on her so that no one would ever believe her predictions.
Despite all my changes, there are things that will always remain permanent. I like David Bowie, Vintage Fashion, cats, Francesca Lia Block, quoting Francesca Lia Block, pretty colors, playing dress up (no, not that way, pervs), photography, art, music, astrology, and the smell of old books.
There are things I don't like. I don't like Politics, long walks on the beach, people who think they are entitled to things they are not, snakes, bugs, my father, black nail polish.
There are things I can live with. I can live with the fact that I have never been kissed or been in a real relationship, the fact that I will probably never meet a Fae or a Vampire, the fact that my weight is always going up and down, and the fact that my hair refuses to grow.
I am currently going to a Community College. I'm in the Graphic Design program, but I'm thinking about doing a double major so that my education can be more well-rounded. I want to open a bookstore/art gallery with my mum and do freelancing on the side so that I can use my design skills, and I want to write books, whether they see the light of day or not.
